Smith Rox and Heartfelt Stares

Oh, Oregon is such sweet earth beneath such sweet people that eat the earth. The colors are warm, the food is flavorful and real. Julie, my Mother of the Northwest, cradled my instincts as I adapted to the Northwestern environment. We cooked, danced, decorated, celebrated, and gossiped about the world's treasures and sorrows like mad. When I accompanied her home to Bend, Oregon for Christmas break we stopped at Smith Rock, a renowned rock climbing destination. We ascended the cliffside in cowboy boots and farmer boots, velvet blazers, and embroidered sweaters. The sight was divinely impressive.

while on a drive in the Turbo Diesel, Steffen and I found a stunning overlook of the Puget Sound. we quickly brought back more company and immersed ourselves in the bizarre Jurassic Park-esque landscape. What is currently the Chambers Bay Golf Course used to be a sand mine. the concrete structures are the remnants of large storage bins.

HL Backbone

tehuacana high point

over the summer I got my hair cut by michael motorcycle. he worships curls and they way they correlate to facial curves. during my very spiritual haircut I learned about Tehuacana (pronounced "to walk in awe"). Located near Mexia, this is the highest point in the plains of east Texas and was about to become the State Capitol. Michael described one of his neighbors who still possesses indigenous knowledge of the land and farming procedures. My sensual experience inspired this trip to Mexia and Tehuacana.
